  18. In case you dont know it yet, you can increase your transcription output by using the right software tool!

As a tip, try to download this software http://www.nch.com.au/scribe/essetup.exe and install this on your windows machine. This software allows you to playback, rewind and fast forward the audio material you are transcribing. It actually helps in transcribing the file.

Try it out and when you are ready, let us know so we can send you a 10 minute test file. We will measure the turnaround time and check the accuracy of the microsoft word document file that you will be sending to us.

I’m 20 years old, and one of the requirements is that a transcriptionist needs to be over 35. I’d just like to know, is this a mandatory requirement? If not, how do i proceed to apply for this job?

  37. Dear Geetha,

The notion that you need to be over 35 years of age to do transcription is wrong. Any individual who is trained can be a transcriptionist. I worked as a Transcription Trainer in India and I am currently a Singaporean PR. If you are interested in getting trained, pls contact me
